Michael McDonald is a Managing Director at LerroSarbey, PLLC, where he specializes in providing comprehensive tax compliance and advisory services to both corporate and passthrough entities. His corporate experience includes advising multinational public and privately held companies on the design and implementation of strategic tax planning initiatives that align with business objectives while ensuring compliance with U.S. tax regulations. He is proficient in ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes), including the preparation and review of tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and uncertain tax positions in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Michael’s passthrough experience encompasses serving operating and investment partnerships, S corporations, and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). He specializes in real estate investment fund planning and structuring, managing REIT compliance, and developing tax strategies to optimize property acquisitions, operations, and dispositions.

Prior to joining LerroSarbey, Michael spent 12 years with Deloitte’s Business Tax Services Group in Miami, FL. During his time at Deloitte Michael served as the Florida Passthroughs Competency Leader, providing technical guidance and strategic insight on partnership tax matters. He also served on Deloitte’s South Florida Growth Council, helping to advance strategic marketplace initiatives and strengthen the firm’s engagement within the local business community.

Michael earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Florida Fisher School of Accounting.
